The North Slope Syrah is a blend of fruit from the highest quality Syrah blocks on the property. These blocks have ideal exposure, microclimate, and low yields to create a balanced and interesting wine. Generally the North Slope sees a small amount of new French oak, just enough to add depth without overpowering the fruit.

90 Points: Based on 100% Syrah, the 2022 Syrah North Slope offers red and black fruits, sagebrush, and peppery, subtly gamey aromas. Medium-bodied, it has a supple, balanced, and polished mouthfeel with ripe tannins, though the finish drops off quickly. Completely destemmed and aged 18 months in 91% neutral oak and 9% new French oak, this is a charming, approachable Syrah that will drink well over the coming 7-8 years. Drink 2025-2032. - Jeb Dunnuck
93 Points: Clean lines of boysenberry, purple flower and peppery spice converge on the nose of this bottling, which includes 5% Viognier. The palate picks up savory flavors of grilled pork, doused in a pepper-speiked berry sauce. — Matt Kettmann, Wine Enthusiast
